Jumping The Gun
I made the Granola Grabbers and let me tell you, they'll grab you. The recipe is on page 82 of Dorie's book. I bought the granola in bulk at Central Market and the taste of the cookie will change depending on what kind of granola you use. I think mine had some kind of vanilla flavor so the end product did too, obviously. I am big on using toasted nuts so I toasted the almonds. I also love coconut so I might add a little more than the recipe called for. Jerrell has been digging into them--they are in the freezer because he is taking them with him for the boys on the hunting trip. I just hope there are a few left. Course, I had to sneak one today myself. Don't know what I am going to make next but I LOVE this cookbook.
Feels Like The First Time
Can you believe it?! I am a bloggin' - who'd a thunk it. And, it is even one day early!!
Okay, the recipe I tried was Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins, and I added the jam. They were tasty!!
The texture was great. I also had a great food experience. .. fried green tomato grill cheese, light on the green goddess dressing and cut the bacon - just 'cuz.... it was some kind of experience!!
I am going to try and learn how to do pics - whew - that is a tall assignment. Let's give that some time...

I LOVE the pink peeps! I just tried to post two other comments which didn't work but now I have figured out how to do it. I am getting ready to upload a photo. I bet Hayley knows how to do that ;>) This will be a good learning experience for us all.
